No Veggies for Me, Thanks!

Our dog will eat ANYTHING! She is such a beggar for food, even though we have worked really hard to make sure that we don't give Wrigley food from our plates. She will try to eat food off of your plate if you are not closely guarding (holding in your hands) it. The two times that Wes has been the most angry at Wrigley are when she (1) ate his hot dog from Skin's and (2) ate 1/2 of his barbecue sandwich bun while he was putting sauce on his barbecue. We never thought we would find anything that Wrigley didn't like to eat, especially since she has recently been found stuffing her face with SOS pads.
Well, we finally found them. At one time, we found two things that Wrigley absolutely refuses to eat. We had a vegetable tray the other night during the Final Four games, and we thought we would see if Wrigley would enjoy it. She would NOT touch celery or broccoli. I'm sure that one of those is on the poison dog food list, but it doesn't really matter, because she would not even take a little bit of them. Wrigley would catch the broccoli in her mouth and immediately drop it on the ground, and she would hold the celery in her mouth for a minute, but she would then lay it on the ground. We also threw carrots to her, but it took her a few minutes to like those. She would pick them up, put them down, and then gingerly crunch them in her teeth. Wrigley is just waiting for something good to come in this shower of vegetables

We left all of the vegetables on the floor overnight. Wrigley always walks downstairs in the middle of the night, trying to find something to get into. I thought that she would finally break down and eat the broccoli and celery. I was wrong, though, because it was still on the floor when I woke up. I guess she takes after her owners in the nasty vegetable department.I guess this says it all - Wrigley almost steps on her celery
