We had a great Easter this year, even though it seemed to be way too early for. On the Thursday before Easter, we went to the Maundy Thursday service at our church. This was the first time that we had ever been, and it was really neat. This service signifies Christ's last night before the crucifixion, and we remember the Last Supper by partaking in Communion. Matt gave a great sermon that really made you think about what Jesus felt and what he was thinking as He prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice. AFter the benediction, everyone leaves the church in silence. I really liked having this service right before Easter, and it was such a difference from the bright, joyful services of Easter Sunday.
For the past two years, Wes and I have bought egg-dyeing kits, but we have never dyed Easter eggs together. It looked as if we would miss it again this year until Molly suggested we dye eggs the night before Easter. We ran out after dinner at my parents' house to get some eggs and a dye kit. We convinced Wes to help us make some cute eggs.
Molly started the "egg family" trend.
We were proud of our egg men.
The finished product of the entire family.
