We got to take a "last vacation" this past weekend. Wes was in a wedding at the beach, so we decided to make a weekend of it. We left Greenville at 1:00, so we had to hurry to get to the rehearsal at 5:00. Wes pulled through, as always, and he flew us there in the Jetta. The rehearsal was really quick, and we headed to the dinner. We were lucky to sit with Wes's sweet aunt and cousin. We enjoyed catching up with them.
After the rehearsal dinner, we drove all the way from Pawleys to Myrtle Beach to play putt putt at our favorite place, Mount Atlanticus. We play putt putt there each time we go to the beach. One of my favorite things about this place is the shave ice stand that you encounter halfway through the eighteen holes. I had purposely not gone for a shave ice that week because I was so looking forward to having one at Mount Atlanticus. Imagine how disappointed this pregnant girl was when she came upon a totally empty shave ice stand. Grrr! We still had the best time playing putt putt, especially in May weather as opposed to the stifling July heat that we usually play in.
The best part of the night was sleeping in a comfy King sized bed with no alarm set for the next day. The alarm part didn't do much for me, though, because I still woke up at 8:00. After a nutritious Froot Loop breakfast, Wes took me to some little shops I wanted to go to. We ate lunch at the Fish House, where I had my first taste of shrimp since I've been pregnant.
After eating, we walked through downtown Georgetown. I've never been there before, and I thought it was really neat. We liked looking in some of the shops and walking by the water.
After the wedding, we went back to downtown Georgetown with family. We came back to the hotel fairly early, and I was lucky to get into the comfy bed for a good night's sleep.
I'm not big on taking pregnant pictures, but I know that I would be sorry one day if I had never taken any. So here I am, seven months pregnant.
