A Little Trip

I have been a little down in the dumps lately due mostly to anxiety, fatigue, and discomfort. I always look forward to my weekends with the anticipation of a child on Christmas morning. For the past several weekends, though, I've been so tired that I couldn't do anything exciting or productive. On Sunday nights, I've been feeling like I wasted the entire weekend. Finally, I felt like this past weekend was finally a good one.
On Friday night, we went to our first Greenville Drive game of the season. The weather was perfect, and the Drive played a great game. After the game, we went to Krispy Kreme for a treat.
I got to sleep in on Saturday (until 7:45), and then I got up for a miniature trip. Wes and I were going to Charlotte to run some errands. We went to a new mall for the sole purpose of going to Gap Maternity. I was on a desperate search for a dress for a wedding that we have to go to next week. I am not a big shopper and I hate trying on clothes, but I pulled every dress that I could find into the dressing room. Poor Wes had to watch me try on at least fifteen dresses. He was so helpful to tell me which dresses were decent and which made me look like I was wearing a muumuu. I got lucky and actually bought two dresses, when I was just hoping for one. One of them only cost $17!
After shopping, we ate lunch at the perfect restaurant. We decided to have Italian for lunch since I can usually eat that. We sat outside under an umbrella, and the weather was fantastic! It was sunny and gorgeous, but it wasn't too warm.
Once our bellies were full, we headed to Ikea. We walked through pretty quickly since we knew what we needed. We had already picked out a dresser for the nursery. We picked up the boxes and checked out. I wasn't much help, but Wes was able to pick it up and put it easily into the car. (Thanks, Mom, for letting us borrow your car).
We brought our tired selves back home and rested up so that we could spend three hours the next day putting the dresser together.
