Two days after finding out that we were having a girl, I was sitting in the cafeteria at school. The secretary walked into the cafeteria with beautiful pink tulips. I looked around at all of the other teachers in the cafeteria, wondering who was getting flowers that day. The secretary walked past my chair and then suddenly turned, setting the flowers in front of me on the table. I could not imagine why I would be getting flowers. I even asked the secretary if she was sure that she had the correct teacher. I checked the card, and they really were for me.
My mom was so excited about her first grandchild that she sent flowers to me at school! I love tulips, and I love to get flowers at school. What a treat for me!
