I really like Valentine's Day, but not so much in the romantic, lovey way. Wes and I have always liked to do something a little different and special for Valentine's Day. In the past, we've gone to Clemson basketball games a few times. This year, though, there wasn't a game on Valentine's Day. Since it had been awhile since we'd had a nice dinner, and I'd been feeling pretty well, we decided to eat at one of our favorite places. Cheesecake Factory is one of our favorite restaurants, and we hadn't eaten there since June. We drove up to Charlotte and ate at Cheesecake Factory at South Park. It was yummy! I even tried something new, which I hardly ever do. I also got my favorite - Tiramisu - for dessert. It was a treat to let myself have dessert, because I had banned dessert before I got pregnant. I would always ban dessert when we ate at Cheesecake Factory, and I hated doing that! We walked around the mall after lunch, and Wes was a sport to traipse through several stores with me. We had plans to go to Ikea after lunch, but it wasn't opening until four days later. Oh, well.
We then went to one of our favorite places, Dave and Busters. We were so excited that we didn't have to wait to get a lane for bowling. I love bowling here, because it's so clean and very modern looking. We had so much fun bowling, except that I realized being pregnant makes me stink at bowling. I've never been a good bowler, but I haven't thrown a gutter ball since I was in middle school. I actually lost count of all of the gutter balls that I threw that day. It was embarrassing! I need to get more practice.
I love going on little adventures with Wes, and we really needed this day to get out and be normal. The sweetest thing about the day was that Wes got tulips and a balloon for me, and had them for me in the morning. Tulips are my very favorite, and like a kid, I love balloons. What a great day!
